This is a very easy yet tasty meal I like to make every once in a while. The special taste of tempeh is well-accompanied by the taste of quinoa, and as a green side dish we add iceberg lettuce.
Ingredients:
- Tempeh 200g per portion
- Quinoa 80g per portion
- Iceberg Lettuce
- Frying oil of your choice
- Salt
Equipment:
- Stove
- Pot
- Frying pan
- Colander
Directions:
Put water in a pot and let it boil. Rinse the quinoa well with hot water in a colander and then add it to the pot. Let it boil, add some salt and stir frequently for 15 minutes.
In the meantime, cut tempeh into thin slices. In a frying pan, let frying oil reach a high temperature. Then add tempeh. Stir fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side.
After 15 minutes, stop heat under the pot with quinoa and put the quinoa on a plate.
Take tempeh out of the frying pan and also put it on the plate. You can add a bit of salt or some spice on it too. If there is not enough space on the plate, you can build the tempeh pieces on top of each other, like I am doing in the picture. 🙂
Add iceberg lettuce.
Serve.
