This is an easy vegetarian meal that is great to cook when you don’t fancy a tofu block and want to eat tofu in smaller pieces. It requires minimum kitchen equipment (pan, pot, grater) and is easy to learn. Read below how to make fried tofu pieces with pesto, cheese and pasta.
- Tofu block (200g)
- Pasta of your choice
- Cheese block
- Pesto sauce
- Green onions
- Grill seasoning
- Olive oil
Cut the tofu block into small pieces (as in the image below) and sprinkle with grill seasoning. Warm up olive oil in a frying pan and add the tofu pieces on the pan. Stir regularly to make sure the tofu pieces are fried from both sides.
Put pasta into a pot and boil so that the pasta is ready at about the same time your tofu pieces are ready.
Mix the pasta with tofu pieces and put the mixture on a plate. Mix the pesto sauce into the mixture.
Grate a part of the cheese block into small pieces and put the small pieces on top of the mixture.
Sprinkle with basil and green onions and serve.
